Being here is almost like being in an airplane. West Maui Mountains, Molokini, Kaho’olawe, Lana’i, and Moloka’i, are visible eye candy. Sunrise and sunset are showstoppers. The view is at roughly the same level as if you were a 50-story building at sea level where this home would be on the top two floors. Surrounded by tropical gardens, you are perched 500 feet above sea level. The land slopes down from the house so that you are not looking into someone else’s house from your own. You are literally on a perch in the sky on Haleakala.
