Jen McGeehan®, RS-80881 with Coldwell Banker Island Properties, has earned the nationally recognized Seniors Real Estate Specialist® designation from the SRES® Council of the National Association of REALTORS®.
Jen joins more than 15,000 real estate professionals in North America who have earned the SRES® designation. She was required to successfully complete a comprehensive course in understanding the needs, considerations, and goals of real estate buyers and sellers ages 55 and older.
“Working with seniors to meet their housing goals requires an expert understanding of their lifestyle and financial needs, and the SRES® designation means that a REALTOR® has that understanding,” said Jen. “I love working with clients of all ages, helping them realize their dreams whether they are buying, selling, or moving on or off our island. Seniors can be confident that because I have my SRES® designation I will be able to help them every step of the way.”
Jen has worked with seniors in a variety of ways over the past 20+ years. She is the creator of Remember Thru Music, a statewide and completely free program which provides fully-customized MP3 Players to those diagnosed with memory loss.
“Music memory is the last part of the brain damaged by memory disease. When a kupuna hears the music of their life, the memories often come flooding back! They are often able to remember who they are, who their family and friends are, what they did for a living, and so much more. While listening to the music of their lives, they are often able to participate in day-to-day activities, comfortably attend appointments, and be a part of the lives of their loved ones,” Jen explains. RememberThruMusic.org started in 2016 and is now part of the family of organizations under the umbrella of the North Kohala Community Resource Center, a 501(c)3.
