CBIP Foundation Celebrates National Volunteer Month with 220+ Hours of Community Service Across Hawai‘i

May 7, 2026 | CBIP Good News, Coldwell Banker Island Properties, Foundation

Throughout April, agents and employees from Coldwell Banker Island Properties came together statewide in recognition of National Volunteer Month, dedicating their time to organizations and causes that strengthen the communities we proudly serve.

Together, our teams contributed an incredible 220+ volunteer hours across Hawai‘i, supporting local nonprofits, environmental initiatives, housing organizations, and community programs on Kaua‘i, O‘ahu, Maui, and Hawai‘i Island.

Giving back has long been a core part of the CBIP Foundation mission, and this year’s volunteer efforts reflected the deep connection our agents and employees have to the communities they call home.

Supporting Local Communities Across the Islands

On Kaua‘i, CBIP agents partnered with the Kaua‘i Board of REALTORS® for a volunteer day at Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore. Volunteers spent the day organizing merchandise, stocking shelves, and supporting daily operations that help fund affordable housing initiatives and community programs across the island.

On O‘ahu, agents and employees volunteered with the Susannah Wesley Community Center, an organization dedicated to strengthening families and empowering youth through education, childcare, outreach programs, and community support services. The team was proud to support an organization making a meaningful impact for local families throughout Honolulu.

Meanwhile on Maui, agents and staff volunteered with Grow Some Good at Nā Mala Kaiāulu Botanical Gardens in Kahului, a multi-acre urban agroforest and outdoor food-growing space focused on education, sustainability, and community connection. Volunteers helped plant trees and clear shrub areas to prepare for future planting efforts, contributing to the continued growth of this important community resource.

On Hawai‘i Island, agents dedicated volunteer hours to organizations and causes that personally meant the most to them, demonstrating the spirit of service and community care that exists across the island.

A Continued Commitment to Service

The CBIP Foundation remains committed to supporting nonprofits, community organizations, and volunteer initiatives that create meaningful impact across Hawai‘i. From environmental stewardship and affordable housing support to youth programs and community outreach, our agents and employees continue to dedicate their time and resources to helping our islands thrive.

As we move into the summer months, the CBIP Foundation looks forward to continuing these efforts with statewide beach cleanups planned throughout June, bringing together agents, employees, families, and community partners to mālama Hawai‘i’s coastlines for future generations.

Mahalo to every volunteer who contributed their time throughout National Volunteer Month and helped make a positive impact across our communities.
