How You Can Assist Our Local Communities in Need

#MauiStrong

Our hearts are heavy as we try to navigate the challenges brought on by the recent fires that have devastated our Hawai’i home.

On Maui, words cannot express the loss we feel for our Lāhainā and Upcountry communities. We share our deepest sympathies to all who have been impacted and send our support to emergency personnel, families, and volunteers who are responding to this tragedy with meaningful action.

Our spirit of aloha and love for our ‘aina is strong.

Thank you for your patience as our services may be interrupted during this time. We appreciate your kokua (help) and consideration in supporting our communities with donations to the local organizations listed below. Every bit of generosity goes a long way.

As homes and local businesses have been lost, thousands of residents find themselves in need of shelter and living necessities. Join us in assisting those in need, together we can make a difference.

Community Donations

As the recent situation remains dynamic and our immediate community needs continue to evolve and change from day to day, it is important to take into account the capacity of our local shelters and community relief sites so they do not become overrun with items. It is advised to have a plan and contact local organizations accepting donations before sending physical items. Our Kihei and Wailea offices remain committed to supporting relief efforts as drop-off sites, please call 808-875-7000 for the latest needs.

Individual + Family Donations

Supporting the individual families impacted by this tragedy by donating directly to Maui ‘ohana is a great way to ensure local residents who have lost their homes receive your immediate support with the flexibility to use financial contributions at their discretion and choosing.

GoFundMe has created a list of verified fundraisers for Lahaina and Upcountry victims and families. Those relief fundraisers can be found on their Maui hub page.

Community organizers have also shared a document with links to hundreds of fundraisers directly contributing to individual family needs.

#MauiStrong Stories

We are proud to hear of the many ways our community has expressed resilience and exemplified the true meaning of aloha through an outpour of care and compassion. It is incredible to witness what we are capable of when we stand together, united. While this tragedy presents many difficult hardships to navigate, it also challenges our ability to imua (move forward).

We would like to hear your stories of impact and share them on this page as a reminder of what makes our Maui community an incredible place to be at home in Hawaii.
